Alcohol and the workplace – A European comparative study on preventative and supportive measures for problem drinkers in their working environment

This study investigated the following: • Research looked at alcohol-related problems for employees, organisations and internal factors that contribute to the emergence of alcohol-related problems in a company. • Identification of best practice in implementing measures within companies • Look at conditions that will encourage and facilitate the transfer of individual best practice at a European Level and the identification of methodologies and tools that can encourage the dialogue and exchange of experiences between European Organisations. • Policies and comparison of legislation in EU member states – Absenteeism, Performance and productivity; Accidents; Attrition.
